What is the 9th Asia Pacific Leaders’ Summit on Malaria Elimination?

The 9th Asia Pacific Leaders’ Summit on Malaria Elimination is a regional event hosted by the Government of Indonesia in partnership with the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA). It will take place from June 16-17, 2025, at the Hilton Hotel in Bali, Indonesia. This Leaders' Summit will bring together ministers, senior government officials, and local, national, and global leaders.

With the theme 'Unity in Action, Towards Zero Malaria' the Leaders’ Summit will serve as a platform to reinforce commitments on malaria elimination, exchange effective strategies, and rally support from partner nations and global institutions to expedite initiatives in the region.

Can I attend the Leaders’ Summit virtually?

The Leaders' Summit will be held exclusively in-person. Attendance is by invitation only.

How can I request for an invitation?

The Government of Indonesia and the APLMA will send invitations to selected participants. If you have not received an invitation, please email us at malarialeaders@aplma.org for more information.

Is there a cost to attend the Leaders’ Summit?

For sponsored participants, all costs are covered by the organizers. Non-sponsored invited participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and personal expenses.

Is there media presence at the Leaders’ Summit?

Yes, media will be present. Photographs, audio, and video recordings will be captured during the Leaders' Summit. APLMA reserves the right to use and distribute all materials from the Leaders' Summit with partners, media, and on its digital and social media platforms.
